Margaret M. Dawson
Margaret M. Dawson, age 91 of Mankato, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Private funeral services will be held. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Memorials and cards can be sent to the family at 21269 State Hwy 60 Eagle Lake, MN 56024. Woodland Hills Funeral Home of Mankato is handling arrangements.
Margaret was born Nov 3, 1928 to August and Clara Langelett . She was number 8 of 12 children from Thief River Falls, MN.
After high school graduation she went to Oaklawn Hill College. She became an LPN and worked several years at Northwestern Hospital in Thief River Falls.
She married Gerald (Jerry) Harstad on Dec 9, 1961. They adopted 2 children Faith in 1965 and John in 1968. Jerry passed away on Nov 2, 1968.
She then married Williard (Bill) Dawson May 6, 1972. He had 2 daughters Lavene and Lynn.

Bill passed away on Nov 14, 1988.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved the lord with all her heart. She enjoyed gardening and became a Master Gardener. She loved to take care of her friends and her church’s flower beds for many years. She loved to crochet and volunteered for the Red Cross and worked down at The American Legion Post #11 for many years.
Margaret is survived by her children, Faith (Ben) Sieberg, John (Paula) Harstad; step- daughters, Lavene (Glen) Kurth, Lynn (Don) Riniker; brother, Evert (Betty) Langelett; sister, Eleanor Siltman; grandchildren, Ryan Morris, Kyle Morris, Hannah Sieberg, Troy Sieberg, Logan Harstad, Devin Harstad, Marcia Pedersen, Brad Kurth, Jodi Henkes, Matthew Riniker, Aimee Rouse, and Abby Riniker; great grandchildren, Ava, Kason, Grace, Taylor, Jessica, Brooke, Alicia, Kailee, Landon, Logan, Judah, Titus, Olyvia; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Clara Langelett; husbands, Gerald Harstad, Williard Dawson; sisters, Mabel Lundquist, Lillie Asp; brothers, August, Harold, Alfred, Robert, David, Art, and Christ.
