6. Omnipresent

Psalm 139:7–12 NASB95

Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” 12 Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.

Who is He to you as a Christian

Psalm 18:2 NASB95
2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

1. He is my rock.

Place of refuge.
Our shield.
Horn of my salvation - weapon, preserves, causes, protects, upholds, strength and basis of my salvation
My stronghold
He is your foundation that cannot be moved or destroyed.
Refuge - He protects
Shield - protects, He cause no harm to come to us as we face the enemy.
As a shield He is a participant for us and with us but not against in battle. He is our ally. -

2. He is my fortress.

Definition of fortress -a military stronghold, especially a strongly fortified town fit for a large garrison.
A picture of strength and stability to dwell in as the enemy attacks.
A place of security
A place to hide
A place of stronghold.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
Psalm 46:11 NASB95

In an ever-changing world filled with all manner of danger, David reminds us that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble”
Psalm 46:1 NASB95
1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Building a secure ancient fortress was not an overnight process. It happened day by day, brick by brick. Knowing God is also a process. It happens day by day as we read the Bible, worship Him and stay in community with other believers.

3. He is my deliverer.

Savior of our troubles - save us, protect us and removes us, helps us overcome or survive from our troubles.

4. He is my God. -

He is above all, He close and personal and promises to care and not leave me nor forsake me.
He is to be worshiped, honored and praise.
He is perfect.
Powerful, all-knowing.
Does not mistakes

5. He is my shield

What part of our Christian life is a shield as mention in
Ephesians 6:16 NASB95
16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Faith is believing and trusting in Him.
Who is on the other side of our faith - God.
Faith assures as that we come out as ultimate winners.
Faith assures as that He will be who He is as mentioned above and it is to our advantage and benefits that He is who He is as the His Word describes Him to be.

In whatever situation that makes you feel unsafe, He is there to be your strength, guide, protector, deliverer. He is always in total control who wants the best for you because He love you and care for you because you are His child.
Take a moment now and ask Him to help you build your "fortress of peace" in the midst of threatening circumstances.
Every step in knowing who God is layer of strength and a growth and development to your faith. He is the strength and source of your faith.
How much time do you spend getting to know God? What is one step you can take today to take refuge in Him as your fortress?
