Angels

Angels are spiritual beings.

The word angel in the greek is angelos which translates into messenger. But this is but one facet of a larger category of spiritual beings

In the OT spiritual beings are referred to as elohim…which is translated as gods with a small g. (

elohim is not a title…it is a description…it is a category it refers to a broad category of spiritual beings.

This is why the Bible says 35+ times there is no god like him or beside him

These spiritual beings…angels, spiritual beings make up God’s council also referred to as the heavenly host ( , :19-23)

These spiritual beings carry out God’s decrees (Daniel 4:13)
