What God has given us:
What God has given us:
Look at how how brought the children out of the land of bondage, slavery and Egypt
Gave them houses they did not build, gardens they did not plant, wells that they did not dig, houses they did not fill and olive trees you did not plant.
promises long life and ,ilk and honey
What did he tell us to do?
To fear the Lord
Tell us to keep his statutes this includes your whole family
tell us to keep his word in our heart
He tells us to teach our children
He tells us not to test him
we love the lord with our whole heart; we need not to put another god before him, and we need to love him with all our mind and strength
However in chapter 9 verse 12 Then the Lord said to me, ‘Arise, go down quickly from here, for your people whom you have brought from Egypt have acted corruptly. They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them; they have made themselves a metal image.’
How do we look to God in this light?
Are we looking like those that he has brought out of sin?
Do we look like the saved ones?
To often we are caught up in this world of me and mine or it all about me.
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,
This is how some of us are today
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. And great crowds gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat down. And the whole crowd stood on the beach. And he told them many things in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.”
