Being a good father is not being a perfect father. There will forever be aspects of fatherhood that are in tension with one another. I remember talking to one of our conscientious dads who confessed to me that he was most always wondering. Most of us have found Christ through a process in our lives. As much as we might like we cannot deny our children the process. They will only engage in the process if there is something about our faith that they like. Deterrents to pursuing God are:
