For the last 3 years I have shared a profound event with you all. This event was something truly amazing.
It was a couple days before easter, I remember because i had been preparing for sunrise service and had the time of when sunrise was according to man. (share the story)
God Spoke to me..
The mountain was in the way of the people seeing a risen son.
God was telling me that in order to see a risen son mountains must move.
20 And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
Today as we remember not only the work on the cross but that our Lord Jesus Christ defeated death. We also need to consider why he went to the cross and who He did it for.
In Matthew 16 starting in vs 21 Jesus foretells His Death but pay close attention for he also explains why and for who He will be doing this for.
21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.
22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.”
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”
Here we see, Jesus has just told us that this was God’s will as he rebuked Peter by telling him he was not setting his mind on God’s interest but mans.
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
25 “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 “For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds.
28 “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
jesus tells us there here in Matthew 16:24 that If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
If anyone, Jesus doesn't say any of you disciples, he says anyone, that is every person alive.
13 “No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.
14 “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
20 “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21 “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
Jesus Went to The Cross for Everyone
Jesus Went to The Cross for Everyone
Jesus went to the cross for every person. and any person who believes and trusts Jesus and as we read the description in matthew 16-24 he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. The work Jesus has for us is barring a cross.
Now you might be asking what does this have to do with a mountain? if you remember the mountian i was talking about earlier, I believe that through the faith of God’s believers, Our Lord is moving a mountain right now, and people will see the risen son.
It Is Our Time to Carry Our Cross
It Is Our Time to Carry Our Cross
What Does That Mean?
What Does That Mean?
Just as Jesus taught truth all the way to His death so should we and this will cause us to carry a heavy weight. but Jesus helps us along the way
29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Jesus tell us to learn from Him and plow His field, because he is a gentle and humble person, we will find rest in Him, the same is not tru for the world. The world is hard and heavy, no rest is found for our souls in the world. He tells us His yoke is easy and the burden is light. again the same is not true of the world.
What is the Truth That We Are to Teach?
What is the Truth That We Are to Teach?
54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;
57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are to teach that through Jesus we have salvation and eternal life.
