Father of Lies

When will we stop being deceived?

We are living is some strange and unprecedented times, and I believe we are not ready! How are we not ready you may ask or How do we get ready?

Both questions will be answered.

First lets read opening scripture:

“They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father.”

4 things I want us to notice:

Jews claimed that Abraham was their Father

Jesus rebuttals that if there were Abraham children because

they weren’t doing the works of Abraham.

What was their works? They sought to kill Yeshua.

4. Thus their deed reflected their father. Who was it?

“Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

There is many things to reference here. What do the Jews mean they were not born of fornication?

But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: 14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: 15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; 16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods

How do you know you if someone is child a father? Their DNA.

Who was Abraham?

You said you believed in the Gospel. The test determine that was a lie you because you do not live what the gospel proclaim

You said that you were born again. That was a lie you’ve been living in sin since the moment you came back out of that water

You also said you had the faith of Jesus. The lie detector determine that was a lie you still live in fear and doubt God’s working power.
