39 He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
I cannot even imagine the anguish of Christ to sweat drops of blood in the garden in anticipation of the suffering and battle He was about to enter.
If His humanity was ever tested a here is the moment He had to resolve to not Rise Up as God and forsake mankind or follow through with His father’s plan ...
He had to trust the Father to fulfill His purpose through Him no matter what
NO matter what
Because He was obedient - you and I know amazing grace and forgiveness
Sometimes the Divine plan is not easy - but has an greater purpose
My question for you today to discuss is - Am I willing to yield my comfort and will to the Divine plan of God regardless the cost? Will I trust the Father to accomplish His purpose?
