Have you ever been proud to represent something? REALLY proud?
I was really proud to be on the Houston High School Soccer Team in 2000-2001—three consecutive undefeated seasons leading to a National Championship the prior year—wearing the Black and Silver around the halls of the school, fellow students recognizing my skill and my willingness to represent the school—running around practice with some of the best athletes I’d ever been around—entering a big game during meaningful minutes and scoring the occasional goal—entering state tournaments and advancing to the final rounds. I was PROUD to represent the Houston High School Soccer Team.
(Note: I did NOT have a significant role on the team! But I was PROUD.)
I was really proud to be in the Might Sound of the South (University of Memphis Marching Band)—marching in parade formation around the parking lot before the game, the drum line’s cadence telling us when to step, then playing the Fight Song for crowds of tailgaters—marching through the tunnel and entering the field for the pregame show, playing songs that would lead 50,000 people in the crowd to chant T-I-G-E-R-S TIGERS!—entering the stands to fill the large vacant area left open for the band. I was PROUD to represent the Memphis Tigers and the Mighty Sound of the South.

Have YOU ever been really proud to represent something?
Have you ever been embarrassed to represent something? REALLY embarrassed?
Let’s find a different embarrassing representation
(I am NOT only interested in numbers, but I hope you get my point)

To represent Jesus Christ: Proud or Embarrassed?
