Ladies’ Sunday School—Chapter 13 “Respectable Sins”—Lack of Self-Control” “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” (Proverbs 25:28) 1. In the same way that a city without walls was vulnerable to an invading army, so a person without _____________________ is vulnerable to all kinds of temptations. 2. Are there desires/cravings/emotions that may be out of control? Remember, this book is about “respectable” or “acceptable” sins. Because the virtue of self-control receives so little emphasis among Christians, we may find that we, at least in certain areas of life, do lack self-control. Remember it is a fruit of the Spirit. Only as we yield to the Holy Spirit, can His fruit be manifest in us.
