Jesus’ grace doesn’t depend on your faithfulness. He isn’t a fair-weather friend who only sticks with people if they stick with him first. He loves us when we’re unlovable. In this final passage from his Gospel, Mark shows us people who follow Jesus imperfectly. But the angel tells them he has risen and is waiting for them in Galilee.
