Our Active Engagement

Our wartime position.
Satan is aggressively hostile to God’s people.
He seeks to wound their faith, and cause them to doubt their God. He has no power over the true believer.
1 John 5:18 ESV
18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
James 4:7 ESV
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Our Encouragement for Enduring

Other Christians are enduring the same things. This calms our fears and gives us hope.
1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV
13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
