Having a Healthy belief in Hell ( Am I a Candidate For Hell

Diagnosis:

We live in a day and age where the world is full of Chaos. People are lost and they fill it is no where to turn, and turning to Christ is great but only if it is on their terms. One term is that I am willing to believe and God, and even believe and his son, but I refuse to believe that a loving God would send me to an unloving tortuous hell.

Objective:

My hope and pray is for us to understand that hell is real. And if I say I believe and Jesus then I also must believe in Hell. I want each believer who watches or hears this message to ask themselves this question “ Am I a candidate for Hell

So, what do we know about Hell or what do we think we Know about Hell. We know that one of the Main topics that is covered by Jesus Christ is Hell. A place that Jesus seem to talk about often. And if Christ talked about Hell often then maybe we should take this subject of hell more serious.

The Misconceptions about Hell:

That God sends people to hell, that he basically takes human beings and picks them up and throws them into the Abyss 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

That Hell is designed for Humans: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41

That Hell is temporary, and not eternal: Daniel 12:1- 2 At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. /// Matthew 25:31-46 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” . . . Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. . . .  And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

That hell is somehow better than Heaven

That we are somewhat living in Hell Now

The things that we know about Hell

God has no desire to see anyone in Hell, However, there are more people going to hell than heaven

Darkness, Fire, Torture, Concept of Time,

Glimpses to the other side

A place of Non-repentance

A eternal residence

I am I a candidate:

I justify my sin

I fall into the category of those who will not inherit the kingdom based on my lifestyle1 Corinthians 6:9-11 King James Version (KJV)

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

My actions show that I have denied the faith that I know is true.8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

I simply don’t trust in God

Why is Hell Real:

If Hell wasn’t real it would make God a liar, and if Hell wasn’t eternal it would make God a liar

Hell is real because Heaven is real

Because it is Prophetic and historical, Jesus wasn’t the first person to talk about hell.
