What is Faith

Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Why is faith so crucial for us to have eternal life?

John 14:1–3 NKJV

1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

In order for us to get there we must belief in he who said those words

So what is the devil really after?

The devil really wants you to doubt

Genesis 3:4 NKJV

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.

The devil wants you to doubt, because when you are doubtful you will not want to want to know or be with Jesus.

“You will not surely die” as if God had lied to them.

Doubt is one of his must used tricks it prevents you from really connecting with God.

Any relationship has trust as one of the foundational principles. And if there is no trust, then there is distrust.

I don’t know if he or she is really telling me the truth or all of the truth.

John 6:29 NKJV

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Jesus can’t do what he wants to do in your life if your still doubting who he is, what he can do, where he went or if he is coming back.

when Adam and Eve lost their faith in Christ paradise was lost.

Genesis 3:23 NKJV

23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.

What have you lost because of unbelief?

John 11:25 NKJV

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

There was no reason for Adam to distrust Jesus. Jesus gave him everything he needed.

Hebrews 3:16–19 NKJV

16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

They could not enter because of unbelief.

what will prevent you from entering in because of unbelief? what doubt is causing you to not live that spiritual life?
