About Where We Are? 1:1-3

This is about half-way through King Artaxerxes reign in Persia.
About 445 BC or about 140 years after the exile began
“I asked them concerning the Jews … and about Jerusalem.” (vs. 2)
Nehemiah’s heart was not for his situation but for the situation of those who were God’s people.
