The reason he asks this question is due to the fact he is search for true, legitimate, biblical fellowship. But, we seem to encounter people who are not are not seeking the truth. Thus, when he encounters those who seem to want truth but in essence do not care about the truth he basically severs the relationship because the truth must be foundational in a relationship, especially if you are seeking TRUE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP.
