Heaven, What's it really gonna be like?

Heaven, as portrayed in Movies

There are so many people who get their idea of Heaven from what Movies portrays. What’s your favorite scene portraying heaven?

Remember that movie from Disney, all dogs go to heaven. Charlie gets run over by a car and winds up in Heaven. He comes in through a big pair of ornate gates on a pathway somewhere up in the clouds above the earth. He’s given a pair of wings and a halo. Everything that he could want is now given to him. Everything is known and there are no longer surprises.

Or maybe you think of ice Age: The meltdown. scrat finds himself in acorn heaven. Again there are clouds and there acorns everywhere. As far as he can see. He is gathering them up, as many as he can hold and then his eyes land on a single glorious acorn larger than all the others. That’s the one for him. Is this what it’s al about? Are we going to have whatever we want?

At camp rangiwoods we were challenged to do more study on the topic of Heaven.

What’s Jesus doing? He is preparing a place for us? What does that mean?
