Redeemed, what does that mean exactly? Plus, how does the redemption of the Old Testament relate to the redemption in Jesus Christ that is found in the New? That is what we will be looking at in the message titled "Redeemed" (Ruth 4:1-12). The word 'redeem' means 'to buy back' and is a word that described what the Children of Israel would do if one of their own was sold or had to be sold as payment of debt. The Bible tells us that when we sin, we become slaves of sin (John 8:34).
