This morning and I want you to understand that we have been going through the book of 1st Peter. It's one of the things that I love about expository preaching and preaching through books is the fact that it shows you how relevant the Bible lyrics to each and every day of our lives and how amazing that God work in God's holy spirit and it just constantly reminds me in a firm's in my own life and my Ministry that God is not taken by surprise and so he knows everything and he is in control of everything he is he is all-powerful and he is omnipresent in during this crisis. It's one thing that I've learned with expository preaching is that you can always trust the word of God and you can always trust God as we come to the Bible this morning if we could We've been looking at 1st Peter 1st Peter deals with obedience that deals with submission of us as Christians because we are not citizens of this world. That's about him. Peter said that we are strangers. We are aliens this world is not our home and so is such when we look at these things that we understand these things. We have to look at it and focus of what is our purpose in water's already seen that a part of that obedience is first of all the submission to government and those that God is placing Authority good bad ugly God places Kings and leaders on the throne. And so everybody is there and everybody is serving right now for a reason for a purpose even much more. So gives us reason to pray for our leaders in to pray for those that are in charge that they will follow the leadership in the guidance of Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit and will be able to fit into the wheel. God and so we saw that we should submit to our government and then last week we saw that we need to submit in our workplaces to our bosses that and really the government being the entity that we have influence phone. Then we get a little bit more influence than greater potential but less people is with our jobs and with our bosses and then it's a smaller group of people today, but even probably the greatest impact in the most Tower in your life in the most impact that you will have in your entire life and your ministry comes within the family you're so Peter now is fixing to turn his attention to the family this week. We're going to talk about the wives next week. We're going to talk about the husband. I know during this pandemic and every one of you is it is probably sick and tired of each other at this time. You're probably really do my wife yesterday put a post as asked if we could do Second half of the people, you know, maybe she's getting tired of me. I don't know if she did go out and fix up the camper a little bit so that I can move. But anyway, we are we're actually doing really good and God is really blessing but we come to this passage of scripture this morning. And I know that there's many of you that are Christians today that have unsaved fat family members unsaved members within your family within your inner circle that do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and I know that when we are confined together as we have been one of the things that I've learned over the last month of not only

How we acted how we react in situations and circumstances and especially this is important when we are born Christians within our house is so today. We're going to deal with submission for salvation and obedient wives submit to their husband likes to be able to say yes to their husbands are Yes, dear or whatever and we've all been there. We've all heard this passage of scripture that I believe has been called out of context. I believe that it has been taught. To be used in Rome waves harmful situation and what does it actually mean to submit and what exactly is the reason for submission that Peter is given here now, I remember that it all comes back to our contest and in our context the First Peter chapter 2 verse 11 12 you remember that Peter calls his readers aliens and strangers because they were Heavenly City Citizen and we are on a journey through life. We are headed to a Heavenly country. I'm often did a great job this morning with Philemon and teaching a lesson for young people and brother Philip in the McGuire's. I appreciate so much the song service in the songs that was picked out this morning because there is no sweeter name than Jesus Christ in men Christ. All we want to do is follow In worship and praise him blessed my heart for the message this morning that God has laid upon me a subject that is not very popular in our society is subjective probably doesn't lend well to going on Facebook that's going to go all over the world and I don't mind your comments. I prefer that you be positive and nice when your comments about this message, but but but I thought I'd love your comments. I love to hear what you say. But this morning I want to share with you the word of God and we are and we are strangers and we find it as we do this that we have because we are aliens because we are strangers and because God has blessed us with the opportunity of Heaven eternal life in his kingdom in heaven with him. Then we have a great obligation here on this Earth. We have a job and a great task for us. And we see that we have more accountability and we are required to act more responsibly toward all social institution. We begin with the government and our our our submission there and then you mention slavery last week to the Masters. And now he moved into that intimate area of the families the god-ordained institution of marriage and his aliens and strangers Christian women are commanded to sustain a fleshly lust our passions and contrast of this is absolutely specially passions. We're related to the whole concept of submission. Remember we started out chapter test Chapter 3 lesson aside these things and do what does Sincere milk of the word of God the word of God in our life of Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we can see people saved how easy it would be for a saved wife to feel defensive rdr2 feel resentful or even vindictive and want to retaliate when she is actually when she actually has an unsaved husband and physical cruelty. And so I understand I feel your pain in 2nd and 1st Peter chapter 2 and verse 12. It says that we as Christians weather as a as a citizen of this world or else as a slave or a or else even as a wife to an abusive husband, we have to keep in mind the goal of Salvation and eternal life as 1st Peter chapter 3 verse 136 is all in divine revelation. Not secular reason it is so we cannot go and interpret this scripture based on what the world thinks or what the world we have to interpret based on. What does God mean for us and how is God going to speak to us today while the section speaks directly to how they relate to their unsaved husband. I want to understand don't turn me out. If you are not a wife or your you're not an unsaved husband. I want you to understand that this passage of scripture is going to be able to be applied to all Christian wives to all Christian husbands do all Christian anywhere and everywhere is so please stay in this morning. If you have your Bibles there, I want you to begin reading and first one of First Peter chapter 3. He says likewise you wives. Subjection to your own husbands. That is not the word. They also May without the word be won by the conversation of the wives while they behold your Chase conversation coupled with fear who's adorning. Let it not be that outward adorning of the planning of the hair or the wearing of gold or putting on his apparel. But let it be the hidden man of the heart and that which is not corruptible. Even the ornament of a meek and quiet Spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price for after the manner in the old-time the holy women also who trusted in God Adorn themselves to be in subjection to do their own husband even is Sarah obeyed Abraham calling him Lord as you are as long as you do well and are not afraid with any amazement. Let's go to God in prayer. Thank you so much for your word. We thank you so much for this passage of scripture this morning. We thank you that you are a God that loves us that cares. Rustic us to live a life. That is exemplified by what's your Holy Spirit can do in and through us if we will take our sales in attach ourselves to you the True Vine and receive our nourishment receive our our food and all of the things that we need from you, but they're only father you promise in your word that you we will bear much fruit and you are my father. We want to bear that fruit. We want to allow your word to go out not only with our mouths but also with our action so that those that are lost and around us in the world and in our workplaces it even especially in our families. Do you have the father we want them to be able to see the work that you have done any of us that they make horrify your name and glorify the works that have been done and turn to you before it's eternally too late and give their life to you and salvation your most precious name we pray. Amen.

Understanding submission has a purpose this submission is not to be dominated as not to be ruled over as not to be mistreated but it is for the purpose of Salvation noticed what he says. They're the very first words in the same way likewise that makes us go back to chapter to understand that the sole purpose of submitting for the slaves to their masters for us to the government is in order that we might win them to Jesus Christ with the Glorious gospel that he is given in the gospel message. Is this the good news is this Christ died for our sins? He died for each and everyone of us. He gave his life on the cross of Calvary whosoever Shall Believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life the Bible tells us that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We could fast with our mouths and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ died and was buried and rose again. We shall be saved it. So we need to submit to authority to whoever it is out there that that we can submit to for the purpose of Salvation is a matter of fact he became in this place all the time to support acting like a fool into going places that you know, you shouldn't be added to put things on my body and stuff to look like the world to attract the world the Powell in the context of them to look like the world just to be a part and accepted by the world. Paul came to be like people in order for the purpose of Salvation it has to do with submission to think it has to do with loving them as we love ourselves, which is the second and greatest commandment. So we're talkin about submission this For salvation Christ, if you remember in chapter 2 of Christ suffered innocently of silently the curiously on our behalf so that you and I do not have to pay sin and death so that you can live with freedom and live. Eternally. I so understand Christ has given us this example of this Mission has Christ is modeled for you. As soon as we look at this. I have four things that 3/3 don't send it to that you are supposed to do when it comes to information. Number one is don't Lord over him. Don't try to rule over him and stay and take your salvation notice what it says here in this passage of scripture. It says for wives be in subjection. What does it mean by this objection the word submissive subjection here in the butt Bible passage is a military terms, which means to take a poop. Or position under is a position of rain. In other words is not to submit to do whatever they tell you to do is we'll look at here in just a minute weather in Morley or XR are against the law or whatever. But what it means is simply to put yourself under the rank. You don't have to take abuse. You don't have to take mistreatment. That's not what's submissive mean that you have to understand that God has placed that husband his place that man in your life over you and he is accountable for you and is accountable to God the way that he leaves you if you died, so you're not submitting mistreating husband, but what you were you were coming under the rank up the same way that the government I have a right to vote freedom of speech in to give my comments when I think that they are bad, but I am to do it in a receipt Play I'm to do in a situation. I can explain the circumstance and he has a right because he has the authority to either write me a warning not do anything or give me a ticket and I have two lives in place myself under his authority and I can like it or not. But that is the way that God has lines things up. And that's what he's talkin about by submission. In other words. Don't Place yourself in the authority above your husband the second time. We notice here is don't leave them. You know, it's easy sometimes to think well if he's mistreating our is abusive are he's a bad husband is so easy for wives to maybe because they're in that abusive relationship and we see it all the time where they where they develop feelings for their. Or for their Pastor offer some some other guy on their workplace because he seems to be nice or he may be committed to God and it may be something that she wants or something that she desires but understand notice what it says. It says be in subjection to your own husband. And so we have this idea that all women or submit submit to all me and that's not what this passage you say it it is submitting to your own husbands. As a matter of fact, there are only two men that God has ordained that a woman is supposed to submit to the first one is their husband. He is to have authority over her. The second one is the elder or the pastor of the church. She is to come his authority not as a husband, but as a leader has to give account for her soul. And these are the only two things that people that have a man that a woman is supposed. Should be submissive to see if she works under a man at a job or position than she would need to be under that not because he's a man but because of his position of authority because of his Rank and so I want us to be sure to understand this you have no obligation except as a member with in my congregation to submit under my authority of God has placed me is Pastor you are required to submit to my leadership and my authority here to place yourself under that ranked understand this morning. The Old Testament is filled with example of women who were positive in leadership. They did amazing things, but they always Old Testament or new testament. They always Place their Authority under some men a profit or a pastor understand that this morning. Don't leave me on salt and ideas a matter of fact 1st Corinthians chapter 7 deals with this idea of divorce and then we get so many problems with divorce today at so many interpretations Bible says that God allow divorce because of the hardness of your hearts the problem that we don't want to focus with in the problem that I want to tell you. This morning is divorce is not the problem. The problem is remarriage. We aren't we can divorce 1st Corinthians chapter 7 verse 39 says until that spouse dies, you are bound to an individual with the remarriage is the problem in this but this is not dealing with our message this morning, but notice what 1st Corinthians chapter 7 says in verse 13, this isn't a woman which has a husband that believe is not and if he be pleased to dwell with her let her not leave him and so it's okay for a woman to be With an unsaved husband I do when I also add here because this is another major misconception that so many people think. Well, these Christians are marrying lost people. I want you to understand that is contained in the word of God. We are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. So if a person is saying they are not to marry an unbeliever, you're just opening up yourself for trouble. You're opening yourself up for Satan and his work. However, what theater is referring to hear is in this hedonistic. I'm culture. What was happening was a lot of times women with hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as you even look in the ministry of Jesus Christ, there was usually more women that followed him then me and if you look in our church has sadly there's usually more women than men and usually what happened sometime after marriage the wipers are even the husband has heard the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ and if given their life, And all of a sudden they find their self saved but they have an unsaved spouse. What are we doing? All right into the church for the unbelieving husband is Sanctified or are set apart by the wife and the unbelieving wife is Sanctified by the husband else worth of your children. But now are they holy but if the unbelieving depart let him depart it is let him depart if you want to depart the unbeliever because they're not living under the power of the holy spirit of God. He says a brother or sister is not under bondage and such cases, but God has called us to peace. For what knowest Alewife weather. Shall save a husband or how knowest thou old man whether Thou shalt save thy wife you see divorce and remarriage has to do with reconciliation Christ came into this world not to condemn the world but to reconcile the world and none of us know how evil that husband or how evil that wife is how bad they behave none of us know whether or not they will eventually submit to the authority in the will of God and be saved and God does something tremendous in their life. And so let him go but always keep praying for them always keep waiting hoping that when they get reconciled with God then they will be able to reconcile with you and if you'll go and you will see every single passage that deals with divorce in scripture, you will find that it hit every single one of them gives divorce a reason to divorce so that you can go your car. Mistreatment because of the law if I beat my wife or whatever and she would be under the obligation under the authority of our government to turn me into the police to have me a wrist rested to have me spend some time in jail to turn me over to Satan but she also has the obligation as a believer in a child of God to pray until God gets a hold of my heart that we might be reconciled against everything in the Bible is about reconciliation first with God and then with others love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul with all your might with all your strength. The second is like how do you still love your neighbor as yourself? And just as Christ has given us the ministry of reconciliation to us with the ministry of reconciliation. He is given to us that Ministry of reconciliation and that's why we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. That's why we are to turn the other cheek. That's why we are to be submissive and that's what Peter is trying to explain to us because we are in a different key. One single times. We just finished celebrating Easter not one time during the entire trial did Jesus Christ get disrespectful with pilot? He always answered him or he kept his mouth quiet, but he never did a search Here's a thought and he was God above the authority of pilot. He said this was not going to fight you. You are the king of this Kingdom this region. I'm a king of another kingdom and so he submitted himself. He placed himself under the rank of that as our example for us as we've already seen in Philippians chapter 2 in just a minute continue to stay with that husband because missing you have children you have grandchildren that are watching and that our Lukey and because of your actions because of who you are in Jesus Christ. Might eventually win that husband might eventually win them children to Jesus Christ because of your actions are so don't leave them next of all we notice their Don't lecture them Don't lecture him. You know that there's nothing worse to a guy that they have a woman that constantly nagged. It's nothing worse for a man to have a wife that constantly nags and talks and noticed what he says here as it goes on in this verse about being quiet about being reverent and not necessarily saying anything and so, you know, most women love to communicate most women love to talk and be in a save life might think that she has the responsibility to do what we would call us a Sanctified nagging and telling her husband what he needs to do and how I need to sleep. So many women that try to force their husbands to come to every single church service and Revival and everything else and it gets to the point to where the constant nagging ends up dry. Husband away irritating husband more than ever winning the husband if you have an unsaved husband, it's okay. Sometimes to allow them on Sunday to go play golf. It's okay to allow them on Sunday to go down to the woods and hunt or maybe fished don't nag them Don't Preach to them just simply love pray for him. And you keep doing what you're supposed to be doing until God gets a hold of his heart and so Don't lecture him. And so that's the three don't so what do we do? What year did love him the respect him your honor him women or to win their husband to Christ by Good Deeds. How do we win people in this world to Jesus Christ? It's not about what we say. It's not bar intelligence about loving them in Jesus Christ Paul told the Church of Corey and he said I didn't come to you with elegant of speech are my greatest sorrow to your power. I simply came to you. I love you and I preach Jesus Christ and him crucified and look at all of the people that was pulled out of that. He's a Mystic world and Society. So you were simply to a love them. You're safely discontinue to love as Christ loves you while you were get a sooner Christ died for you and you were to give your life to that husband. You were to give your life for the purpose of their salvation. Non-Christian hug husbands are going to observe they're going to scrutinize they're going to to say nice in judge. You more harshly that are there but understand that you have a perfect and you have a gold in this life. And so you are to continue to love them notice where the focus the spotlight for the Salvation turns to as he goes to First 3 and verse for he goes on here. Any mentions first of all that it does not have to do with your outward. Look when we talked about this. He said who's adorney let it not be that outward adorning Peter speaks to an issue. That would be very close to a woman's heart of a woman wants to look beautiful a woman knows how to to make yourself beautiful. They say they study and they spend time learning how to put on makeup how to fix their hair how to get the right angle is my wife and my daughter you can't take it from below. You can't take it too far ahead. You got to get on the left side of the right side at just this angle. They study they know what it takes to look beautiful. The Peters not talking about that beautifulness on the outside that outward adorning matter fact, he goes on to talk about the plating of hair and the wearing of gold in the pudding on of apparel notice the very first thing that Peter is not speaking. Is this scripture so many times teachers the scripture is not teaching against the hairstyle. It's not teaching against jewelry does not teach teaching against dresses because a woman would obviously we're outer clothing when she went out in public automatically fix her hair when she went out in public. So what is Peter speaking about speaking about these matters of inner spiritual Beauty? You are not spend as much time on your outward appearance as what you do on your inward appearance. And so think about that for just a minute women that are not are not to be obsessed with the external beauty and they took her to work at this internal beauty of letting Jesus Christ shine through them that they may show his good works and they would see her good works and glorify the Father which is in heaven you go in your read about the Blessed wife in Proverbs chapter 31, he will see all the outward things. You will see you in about her rising up early. You'll see all the things that she did that. She look fixed herself up. She did all of these but the beautiful thing about that woman was the love that she had the works that she had for her husband and for her kids. It wasn't what she had in the pride and selfishness that she had for her. It was the outer work and therefore they eat her children rise up and call her blessed. But notice what he says here, he said he goes on and he says and let not your door a door make the external only with it these things but what that inward life that inward if you have to get yourself and dress yourself up and in a hedonistic way to try to attract your husband to try to get your husband to love you to tow it to be the husband that he wants to be to be with you then guess what you do, you're going at it wrong on the inside. If you remember Jesus Christ, can you come lie, he didn't have great appearance and have great scratcher. But yet everybody wanted to be around him. Why not because he was so good looking but because he loves them and he served them and he was good to the wives is that in word part not that outward Parts notice he goes on and he says with the imperishable Quality quality of a gentle and quiet Spirit, which is Precious in the sight of God of good price it is that kind of spirit that will win the heart of a non-Christian husband. In fact, it will totally disarmed him. If you could join you somebody slaps you on the cheek, if you turn the other cheek and sets them back and stops them the beating quits because they're not expecting you to respond that way and wise if you would respond that with the way that you are supposed to hit would disarm your husband and cause them to step back if you remember when pilate asked Jesus Christ if he was a king immediately, what did Jesus Christ say? He said not of this world and pilot was sit back and Paula said truly. This is the Son of God because why he can come in and starting his authority income in a certain his ride, but I placed himself under submission and pilot tried to release the innocent man, but the sovereignty of God over came and took over it so wide It has to do with your friend word appearance put on the Holy Spirit attach yourself to Jesus Christ. Go back to the first of chapter to desire the sincere milk of the word that may save your husband. The last thing that we have is to simulate for salvation. What do I mean by stimulate for salvation notice what he says in verse 5 & 6 he talks about two different things. First of all, he talks about the Holy ladies. He reminds them of the holy women that are all through the Bible that place yourself under the authority women like Esther who placed herself the under the authority of the king of Ruth who placed herself under the authority of of all of these women just go through and look how they Place their sale under that Authority whether it be to the government whether it be to their masters or whether it be to their husband they were there any give that example for after this manner in the oil? Holy women also trusted in God Adorn themselves be in subjection to their own husband, you women stimulates and model but he also mentions a holy lady in particular He also mentioned Sarah and it gives us an example of Sarah and Abraham calling him Lord and I got a lot of time to my wife out of context to try to get her to call me Lord what he was saying and what she was saying what she was referring to him as Sir or Master. She was showing the authority and if you go back to the context to what was happening, you will read there in that passage of scripture in Genesis Chapter 18 and verse 12 the angels. I just told Abraham in his old age that he was going to have a son and Sarah was inside you remember making the bread and making up a meal to take out to be a mushy over. Heard what they said and this is what it says in Genesis Chapter 18 and verse Quail there for Sarah left within herself. This was hilarious. How can a 90 year old woman have a baby how in the world can she be impregnated? And so she left but the verse goes on and notice what it says. She says I after I am wax old shall I have pleasure my Lord being old also noticed she refers to Abraham as Lord. This sounds ridiculous. I can't get pregnant. I'm old Abraham is old we are well flash star years of childbearing where will test our years of pleasure, but no matter what I will submit and subject to the authority of Abraham. He is my master. He is Lord and that's what they simply means really willing to follow him before we wrap things up. Sarah have any reason to trust her husband? If you go back and you study Sarah and Abraham, you will find that it actually took Abraham 125 years to grow up 425 years to become a man. If you remember twice in the word of God wants to Egypt and wants to Calista Felicia Abraham live in actually tell she is his sister. He doesn't even stand up for her. She sends her away giving her the opportunity to either be killed or to be placed in the king's harem. That doesn't sound like a good husband doesn't and you can go through and you can see other examples but yet Sarah through it all said yes, I will. Obey I will understand lot of people ask is it? Okay to break the law or do something in Morley. You have to remember when when Sarah gave Abraham her handmade wasn't a lot of scripture there wasn't a lot of things but this does not obligate you to break the word of God. It does not obligate you to break the law if your husband ask you to do something that is illegal. Then you are not to submit to that as I mention firstone in the service. You are supposed to turn him over to the authorities. You're supposed to deny him. You're not supposed to break the law. But if it is within scripture it is within your guidance of the leadership in the Holy Spirit, and it does not break your conscience. Then you were to do everything within your ability. Live a life that will see him saved as we close out this service this morning. I want you to understand if you are a saved wife you have an obligation to live an example to them unsaved members in your house. Are you living as a center or are you living as a saint? Are you giving them more ammunition to turn against God to turn against the law changing power of God. Are you showing them? How God is working in your life how God is as you've given your body over to the control of the holy spirit. It's amazing what God is able to do and then I want to say just a quick word this morning. Do you unsave husband? Do you see something in your wife that you do not have do you see the way that she loves God in the way that she Longs for God. Did you see the way that she Desires in our heart that way even when she nags you and irritates you that all she wants is for you to give your life. The Jesus Christ so that you can go to heaven. My prayer this morning that is if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal savior, if you're saved you should be living with your wife your husband your children. Your neighbors your boss your employees the government everywhere in a way that they will see Jesus Christ and will accept him as their personal savior. If you never done that in today, I want to give you an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior is already mentioned the gospel, but I'll tell you one more time. It's a simply as believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he came to this earth and he died on the cross of Calvary for your sand. And he was buried but he didn't stay in the grave. He is defeated seeing in his life. He defeated death in his resurrection and he wants to give that life and Eternity to you. If you will simply call the phone his name and believe in his heart. Thank you very much. I hope this message is touched you this morning I pray for you. I hope you'll be strong because Satan wants nothing more than to destroy our families in the best way that he can destroy our families as by isolating US during this pandemic and helping us to live like the world rather than Live Like Jesus Christ. You have a light Let It Shine matter fact, you may want to go to your family and pull them together right now and seen together This Little Light of Mine. I'm going to let it shine. You're my father. We thank you and we love you be with each one of these just help them lift him up be with these women be with those save people that live with ungodly husbands and ungodly family members. The only father we just ask your hand of protection upon them your hand of God in your Holy Spirit of leadership and submission up on them and Lord. We just pray that if there be anyone here that is not saved that they'll be saved before she turn lie too late in the most precious name we pray. Amen.
