Introduction

Whereas "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2: 9) ,
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5: 8).
Delayed gratification or deferred gratification is the process of resisting temptation to enjoy an immediate reward, in anticipation of receiving a greater reward later. Christianity is not just about delayed gratification or deferred gratification to arrive at the desired destination of the Kingdom of Glory; Christianity is about enjoying the journey to the intended destination. While the future holds the bliss of eternity, living a life of unspotted purity, our journey of endless prosperity begins right here, right now.
Whereas genetically we can be predisposed to ailments and afflictions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer and so forth, as born again Christians we are predisposed to a life of contentment, victory, and joy even in the midst of adversity. Let us not forget that Jesus Christ is our Elder Brother, and that God is our Father. Everything may not be right with us, but we have the right contacts. While we have the right contacts, sometimes we do not connect with our contacts, and this often robs us of special privileges. Let us connect with our contacts and stay in the connection zone. Our focus today is staying in the connection zone, where we enjoy the journey without delayed or deferred gratification. It is exciting to live in the connection zone.
One of the reasons we do not enjoy life as we should, is that we have a serious heart condition. When Jesus preached, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5: 8), he already knew what Jeremiah said, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17: 9). While according to Jeremiah’s diagnosis we are not only in need of critical care, the prognosis is also bleak, but the Great Physician gives us hope, as he suggests that we can get a heart transplant. The we have a very serious heart condition, we can de
in the future. Sometimes we make calculated decisions to endure hardship in order to realise success or prosperity in the future.

The Danger of Impure Heart

What jumps at me from this text is that if your heart is not pure, you will not see God.
One of the most destructive things is to have a badmind.

The Joy of Seeing God

Seeing God spiritually as well as physically
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1John 3: 2, 3)
“And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads”. (Revelation 22: 4)
