But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Peculiar-special or unique: a species peculiar to the high desert. Only creation made in His image and likeness.

Eph. 1:4 CHOSEN us in Him before the foundation of the world.

Deut 7:6-7 CHOSEN to be a special people

Jer. 1:5 before you were formed God had a purpose for you

Mark 1:17-18 Called to COME and be made fishers of men.

Called -

Called - an irresistible interest that defines who we are, what we do and where we invest our time, talent, and treasure with intentional devotion, dynamism and direction. It summons a special service for a special purpose.
