A return from Captivity
Notes

A Song of Ascents.
1 When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us,
And we are glad.
4 Bring back our captivity, O Lord,
As the streams in the South.
5 Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
6 He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.

1 When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
this will not last forever.
there will be rejoicing again.
we will laugh again
we will sing again.
and when we do people will notice.
if we do it properly people will say that God has done great things for you.
how we do that is:
we must be clear that God did for us what we could not do for ourselves.
we need to be ready to help those in need.( it is not a guarantee that everyone will have a job left when we re-open. I saw a post from a guy in the oil field this week that was upset that people where bragging that gas prides where great. I wonder if he ever thought about the people who were unable to make a living when gas prices where high and his paychecks where good.
we are the answer to someones prayer.
we need to be encouraging.
we need to be friendly.
2. remember the Great things the Lord has done for you.
2. remember the Great things the Lord has done for you.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
one of the reasons that every Wednesday and eu very Sunday that we have to be grateful is in times like this it is hard to be grateful. In Abilene many people are still working, but people that work in many stores are not working.
people have been laid off from restaurants.
people who cut har and do many other things cannot work.
as a mentioned above the oil field is down
3. Ask God what he wants from you in this time.
3. Ask God what he wants from you in this time.
4 Bring back our captivity, O Lord,
As the streams in the South.
Basically this verse is asking God to do it again.
we should ask God what he wants from us in this time.
figure out what that is and start doing that.
how do you do that ?
Pray and ask God what he made you to do. ‘
read and study,
think about what you are drawn too.
4. God is going to get the Glory out of it.
4. God is going to get the Glory out of it.
5 Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
6 He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.
we will reap with joy for the tears we wept.
our tears will water the seeds of Gods will.
the church will grow.
