Dealing with Uncertainty

We have always had uncertainty in our world.
The atmosphere is full of uncertainty.
However, as His children we deal with uncertainty different because He has overcome the world.

He Has Overcome

John 16:16–33 NLT
16 “In a little while you won’t see me anymore. But a little while after that, you will see me again.” 17 Some of the disciples asked each other, “What does he mean when he says, ‘In a little while you won’t see me, but then you will see me,’ and ‘I am going to the Father’? 18 And what does he mean by ‘a little while’? We don’t understand.” 19 Jesus realized they wanted to ask him about it, so he said, “Are you asking yourselves what I meant? I said in a little while you won’t see me, but a little while after that you will see me again. 20 I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy. 21 It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. 22 So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy. 23 At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. 25 “I have spoken of these matters in figures of speech, but soon I will stop speaking figuratively and will tell you plainly all about the Father. 26 Then you will ask in my name. I’m not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf, 27 for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God. 28 Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.” 29 Then his disciples said, “At last you are speaking plainly and not figuratively. 30 Now we understand that you know everything, and there’s no need to question you. From this we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? 32 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. 33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Jesus was telling His disciples that He was going to leave them.
They did not understand so explained to them what was about to happen.
Jesus was going to be arrested and then crucified on the cross.
It would seem to them that they had lost, it was going to be very painful.
Jesus said it would actually be like a mother giving birth. There would be great pain, but then there would be joy when they baby was born.
He told them that they could have peace because He would overcome the world.
The truth is that the threat this virus has brought to all of us has changed us. Just walk in the store and see the people who are afraid to even look at you.
People are afraid to be around one another, or to congregate.
The truth is in Perry, Oklahoma we are considered virus FREE, but people are still concerned.
I am not talking down to you, but I am just pointing out how this has changed our world.
So where are we? We are in the birthing place of something greater.
The disciples had the opportunity to see disaster, but still have peace because they knew that Jesus had overcome the world.
1 Corinthians 15:57 NLT
57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:37 NLT
37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
1 John 4:4 NLT
4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
We are going to sing a song of declaration right in our house. The song is called Overcome!

Build an Immunity System

The Super (Spirit) and the Natural together build the supernatural.
How do we have the super-natural work together?
The truth is that our bodies have a natural immunity system that our Creator made in us!
Hebrews 12:1 NLT
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
Above every thing we do, seek Him.
Naturally build up your immunity system. The truth is that there are people today who would not have a threat of this virus had they made better choices. I am not saying this to condemn you, but to encourage you.
Use wisdom, not pride, or hyper spiritualism. If you have a fever or chills stay home until you have been seen by a doctor. Don’t go to work, don’t be around people, get to the doctor. Call for prayer!
