Introduction (Antithesis)

Today’s text, though familiar to some may seem a bit foreign to others.  We follow a man by the name of Elisha, called to be a prophet of God and servant of the prophet Elijah!
Point 1: Perception is a false sense of reality!
How you perceive things is typically how it is FOR YOU!
I like to tell people that if I place 10 of you in the same vehicle and you each get in the same accident, each one of you will have ten different experiences.
But get this, the reality you perceive is based on the trajectory of your view!  Look at the text!   Elisha said to God, “Lord open his eyes!” When He did, he saw chariots of Fire and an angelic host.
See from where he was standing, it LOOKED like they were surrounded!
It LOOKED like their backs were up against the wall
It LOOKED like they would surely die
Ok y’all ain’t caught it...
It LOOKS like you’re not going to make it
It LOOKS like  there’s no way out!
It LOOKS like everyone has forsaken you
It LOOKS like God isn’t moving
It LOOKS like they ain’t ever gonna change!
But if you just hold on!  Somebody shout hold on! If you just hold on a little while longer. If you could only see yourself the way God sees you!
Change your perception!
See yourself as victorious
See yourself as the lender and not the borrower
See yourself as important to God
See yourself coming out of this thing
See yourself as a winner and not a loser
See yourself as a child of the most high
See yourself made in His image and likeness
When your perception changes things don’t seem so bad!
If you change your perception the reality of your situation has got to change!
We’re about to enter into a new year in just a about 16 days!  And it doesn’t make any sense to go into 2020 looking at 2019!  What am I saying? Some of you need to begin asking God right now to line up your vision with His provision!  Y’all didn’t catch what I just said!  That means that you need to start living Mark 11:23-24 for the Bible declares, “That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
When your perception changes, God can preform miracles that you never even dreamed possible!
When your perception changes everything you think about inspires you to go get it!
To walk in your purpose
To cast away doubt and fear
It makes you open your eyes and that there is more with you than against you!  I promise you I’m not making it up...it’s right here in the text!
