PETER FISHERMAN TO APOSTLE What did Peter, a man just like us, with seemingly more faults the positive attributes, see, that brought him to the position of Apostle? 1. The __________ of Christ. John 2:1-11. In John 2:1-11, Jesus was showing His power over ___________ things. In Luke 5:12-15, Jesus shows His power over the human body. In Matthew 8:28-34, Jesus has power over demons and devils. In Mark 5:22-43, Peter sees the power of Jesus over ______________. Have we seen the power of Jesus Christ? Have we recognized it at work? 2. The ____________ of Christ. Matt 17: 1-9. In Mathew 17, we have the account of the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. Peter, James and John were the only humans to see this event. Peter had the privilege of seeing Jesus just as He is. There was no misconception of just who Jesus was: _____ ______ _________. Do we really see Jesus for who He is, God, the second person of the Trinity? We need to remember once again who Jesus is: the ___________ God of Heaven, the One who walks with us every _________ of the way. 3. The ____________ of Christ. Luke 19:10. In conversation with Zaccheus, Jesus states His ___________ on earth: to ________ and to save that which is lost. Peter would have seen that passion in practice throughout the ministry of Jesus. The passion of Jesus Christ was towards __________, and their need for a Savior. Do we have the same passion? Do we see people as ______ souls, on their way to hell, unless the respond to the call of the Savior? 4. The __________ of Christ. John 14: 1-14 Peace is something we often lack. For unbelievers, they have no idea what peace is. For believers, we know the peace that our _____________ brought us. We have a continuing peace _____________ to us. But we need to ________ it to work in our life. We need to rest in the peace of God, knowing He will take care of us, His children. When fear starts creeping in, go to God. Claim the promise of Psalm 56:3, and 2 Timothy 1:7. We can have peace through Jesus, calling on Him to help in time of __________.
