Dealing with Doubt

John 20:26-29

John 20:26–29 ESV
26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Believe in the Power of God

Thomas was with Jesus during his ministry
So it shouldn’t have been as difficult for to believe the report of the disciples
Like Thomas, God has done many great things for every one of us;
So believe he will get us through!

Believe in God’s word

Jesus rebukes Thomas because he was slow to believe
What’s interesting about this passage is Jesus had told his disciples 13 times that he would be raised in 3 days
So remember what God says in his word!

Believe Jesus is God and make Him your Lord!

Exalt Jesus - worship Him!
Make Him Lord - serve Him!
