ME: Why Afton Needs The Letter
ME: Why Afton Needs The Letter
Last week it was announced that schools in NY were going to online for the remainder of the school year
And I grieve for seniors who had their high school careers cut short
And I empathize with parents who have been thrust into a teacher role
Some, having to work still
On the positive side, families are getting to spend more time together
And now that the weather is getting nicer
I’m seeing some of the younger kids out riding their bikes and playing in their yards
It reminds me of when I was a kid on summer break
Climbing trees, building forts, and playing with my hot wheels in a sand box
But one of the things I looked forward to was when I would go in for lunch and watch one of my favorite shows as a kid

Blue’s Clues!
And every episode had a special visitor
*Mailbox slide
Mailbox!
And when mailbox would spring onto the screen
He would bring a letter with him
Before actually reading the letter though, we would always sing...
We just got a letter!
We just got a letter!
We just got a letter!
I wonder who it’s from!
Well, this morning, we’ve got a letter
A Family Letter
This morning I will be introducing our study in the Epistle to the Ephesians
looking at just the first two verses
But I am addressing this letter to the Church in Afton.
Let us prepare our hearts this morning by going to the Lord in prayer.
