Introduction:

Spiritual leadership is an important matter to God. Those He has placed in authority, whether civil or religious, carry great responsibility on their shoulders. Those to whom God has given power have been chosen to guide and direct people under His direction.
Leaders of both church and state have been granted their positions by the Lord Himself. The most powerful individuals in government, business, and the church will have to answer to God for how they lead their people because every human being is created in His image and is valuable to Him. Those who honor God by leading His people according to His will and His Word will be honored by God, but those who are cruel and selfish will be held accountable by God and brought to shame. (Bible Expositor and Illuminator, Spring Quarter 2020), p. 129.

13 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad.
