Woman of God

Introduction

A teacher gave her class full of second graders a lesson about the magnet and what it does.

The next day, in a written test, she included the question:

What Am I? “My name has 6 letter, the first letter is m, and i pick up things, what am I?”

When the test papers were turned in the teacher was astonished

to find that almost 50% of the students answered the question with the word “mother”

Yes mothers do pick up things. But they are so much more than “magnets”

gathering clothes, and picking up toys.

As willing as moms are at doing those things they have a much higher calling then that.

The Bible talks often about the role of a mother.

Theres many godly moms in the Bible like Hannah, Mary, Rebekah, Eunice,

I am sure many of you girls want to be moms one day

I am sure many of you guys want to marry a woman that will be a godly mom

Moms are so important because they raise the next generation

they form the character and health of the next world leaders.

Bad moms = bad kid which = bad adults = bad society

So the roles of a godly mom is what we will study today

because a godly mom is first a godly woman

See being a godly mom or godly wife doesn't just suddenly happen.

It takes time and effort to become a a woman of God

some girls think that they will work on it when the times comes

but if you dont work at being a woman of God now

then finding a godly man, to raise godly kids with will be impossible

since a godly guy is seeking a godly girl

some girls are christians but act live like worldly girls but they’re still desiring a godly guy

So

If your looking for Mr. Right, be Mrs. Right first.

be the kind of woman that mr. right is looking to marry.

also you guys will never be mr. right until you learn how to be a man of God and not just a boy.

but today we will examine the roles and characteristics of a godly woman

What you may find interesting from this study is how the woman of God described in the bible

is the complete opposite woman of the world.

Since I know many of you girls love Jesus, my prayer is that you would be capable of recognizing 2 things

Areas that you can grow in

Area in your life where you have allowed worldly influence to creep in

I really hope that you girls can catch this.

that you would be able to attract the kind of guy you deserve.

I want to feel like when its time for you to get married

that you’re ready to go because you both have been working at being mr. and mrs. right

instead of feeling like I need to do a ton of premarital counselling

also I am just assuming I am doing your wedding.

your stuck with me deal with it.

jk you can choose someone else… but you will break my heart.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GODLY WOMAN

Outside & Inside

Who we are reflects what we do.

what she doesnt do on the outside

what she does do on the outside

What she doesn't do:

Doesn't get drunk (Titus 2:3)

Doesn’t slander other people (Titus 2:3, 1 Tim 3:11)

Doesn’t gossip (1 Tim 3:11)

She does not surround herself with evil people (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Not only focused on outward beauty (1 Peter 3:3)

girls you dont need every man to want you… you need the right man to want you.

if you’re trying to get the attention of the every mans the right man’s impression of you is that you’re a worldly girl

I grew up in public school, I was surrounded by girls dressing to get attention…

now while it may have got my attention I knew I would never want to marry a girl like that

instead when God took my heart

I found a girl that was modest, that wasnt dressing for guys to look at her..

that was focused on her purity & waiting for the right guy.

that was so much more attractive to me .... and because she respected herself I respected her.

I trashed those other girls.... I wont go in detail.. but I did not treat them like sweet treasure to care and protect..

Girls being revealing as a godly girl just reveals that you value yourself by your appearance.

And if you value yourself that way... so will the guys you attract.

If you value your character, and keep yourself pure , you will attract a guy that wants to do them same

sorry for going off but I am so sick of seeing godly girls attracting boys and not men.

What she does do:

Be of good reputation (Proverbs 22:1)

a reputation means she is consistent

shes is not a quiter

shes not up then down.

Modest in appearance (1 Timothy 2:9-10)

Teaches good things (like to love husbands and children) (Titus 2:3-4)

She is a hard worker (Proverbs 31:17)

guys a sign of this is how does she serve her Savior?

is she actively serving Him at church?

a lazy wife means youre doing everything.

and even if she is the most beautiful that will get old.

Train up children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6)

Homemaker (Titus 2:5, Proverbs 31:27)

Provides food (Proverbs 31:15)

Be a good steward (1 Corinthians 4:2)

Her words are wise (Proverbs 31:26)

Towards her Husband

Hey guys: Tip: Eph 6:1-3 says:

Ephesians 6:1–3 NKJV

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

So if she does not do the things I am about to show you to her parents.

she will NOT do them to you … no matter how much she will say she loves you, and would never.

Girls if you do not do these things toward your parents now you will not be this toward you’re husband.

Respect her husband (Ephesians 5:33)

Obedient to husband (Titus 2:5)

Submit to her husband (Ephesians 5:22; 1 Peter 3:1)

Does good to her husband (Proverbs 31:12)

Help her husband (Genesis 2:18)

Faithful to Husband (Proverbs 31:11)

Pray for her husband (1 Peter 3:7)

Faithful to her work (1 Tim 3:11)

On the Inside

Reverent (respect) behavior (Titus 2:3)

Not of the world (Romans 12:2)

Self-controlled (Titus 2:5, 1 Timothy 3:11)

Pure/innocent (Titus 2:5)

Doesn't want her character to be a reason God’s Word to be spoken against (Titus 2:5)

Focused on the the beauty of her character (1 Peter 3:4)

Gentle and quiet spirit (1 Peter 3:4)

Conclucion

Guys how many of you would love this girl?

Girls how many of you after reading this feel inadequate?

Church

This girl does not exist and never will.

This girl is impoisbble

This is a perfect girl

A godly girl is the one who desires this and seeks to do them.

Guys look for the girl seeking to be this.

Because if she wants to be this

that means shes loves God

thats the most important thing

Girls make God your number one and it will line up in place.
