Kyle is stuck at one side of a massive lake.

with no hope to escape

the side he is on has no purpose, it is dull, all his mistakes, and failures were done on this side of the lake

but the other side of the lake

is freedom, purpose, meaning, joy

because of grace Kyle is offered a row boat

with two oars attached to both sides

so he can now get to the other side.

full of hope he hops into the row boat

the current immediately drifts him away right into the center of the lake

so he grabs one oar

and with all his might and focus

he puts all his effort into that one side

and just starts going in circles and in circles & in circles

remember that

God Loves You!

Lately we have talked so much about how much God values you

and doesnt He value us so much?

So much that you are worth dyeing for

Satan and God fight over us.

I just think we cant understand how much God values us!

Romans 8:38–39 NLT

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I noticed that so many teachings and messages today is about how God loves you and forgives you

and that is so good!

God puts so much attention on that.

He wants us to know we are forgiven we are loved.

We have talked mostly about how God values you in Galatians

but where ever you go to church

you will likely hear a message about how much God loves you & forgives you

and that is good...

It encourages us and reminds us that we are right with God.

then you fail then go back to church and repeat.

and that is really good

but is like your going in circles spiritually.

Question:

how many of you feel like your walk with God isn't going anywhere?

You know God loves you, you know He forgives you,

but nothing is happening.... not much growth, nothing revolutionary in your life....

Like you want to grow and be a better Christian but your in a circle of

I sinned, I repent, I am forgiven, I am loved, I sinned, I repent.

Good News

God has so much more for us!

And I want to share with you something just as important as knowing how much God values us. ..

that is either missing or is very neglected.

This neglected, or missing thing is a 100% guarantee to break the cycle

and send you straight to revolutionary transformation.

Sound good?

If Not (Luke 12:47–48). teaches us that you will be judged by what you know.

so if you like the cylce you are in leave now...

if you are ready to grow, do something for the kingdom, and develop your relationship with God.

get ready to pick up the other oar.

Turn your Bibles over to Matt 6:19

Arggghh

Remember that?

From a Monday night a few weeks ago about finding the true treasure which is the word of God.

Lets read v. 19 Matt 6:19

Matthew 6:19 NKJV

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

so there are many other treasures.. Jesus here is speaking about eathly treasures

the best person who attained the most treasure is King Solomon

in the book of Eccl he attained many treasures:

through ch. 1-6 you can read all that he trasued

first it was knowledge that was the treasure

then entertainment that was the treasure

then possessions that was the treasure

then folly that was the treasure

then work that was the treasure

then wisdom that was the treasure

lastly riches that was the treasure

Solomon succeeded at all of this and each time said “it is meaningless like chasing the wind”

Jesus the creator teaches a similar thing in v. 20-32 Matt 6:20-34

Matthew 6:20–34 NKJV

20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Okay so while it is cute and many people focus on how Jesus is saying that he will take care of us and provide for us

and that is true

but there is a bigger message here…

it is about purpose.

that our purpose in life is not going to be found on earth.... but in heaven.

Do you know long it would take to read the whole Bible in one sitting with no breaks?

3 days.

that is 70 hours and 40 minutes

Because of this and that God is a master teacher there are sections of scripture that summarize all the details.

for example we read in Galatians a couple Sundays ago:

Galatians 5:14 NKJV

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

teaching us that love summarizes all the many commands of the Bible

which have been fulfilled and forgiven.

Why in the world am I saying this?

because this section is another summary section that has to do with purpose.

while....

“Love summarizes all of scripture when it comes to our position with God. Seeking summarizes all of scripture when it comes to our purpose with God.”

Now lets go back to the boat:

remember Kyle that only was using one oar?

or how we have been going in the same circle

of I sinned, hear a message how God loves, and forgives, now I am right with God, but dang I sinned again.. and reepteat

but we are not moving forward and nothing revolutionary is happening in our walk with God?

one side represents us

the other side represents God.

one side is about the value God has towards us (that He would love and forgive)

the other side is about the value you we have towards God.

When you got both of these in motion you cannot go incircles

only forward.

So I tried working out… yikes lol

I found myself out of breathe at the bottom of the hill

and my house is at the top of a hill

I felt wrecked I just wanted to be in my house resting.

So as I am going up the hill staring at my house I feel like I am going nowhere

My stupid self was like how much is an Uber so I can have someone take me home.

Maybe you’re at the bottom of the hill in your faith (your petty far from God, and your tired)

Maybe you you’re feeling like your going nowhere (you try to get closer to God, but youre not)

Maybe you are trying to rely on someone else like an Uber to get you to where you need to be

relying on a pastor or whatever to grow your walk with God

but you know how I made it home?

I changed my perspective

I got my eyes off the problem and onto the process

and step by step I made it

Church?

Tonight I want to talk about changing our perspective

because the problem is that we are too focused on one side of the boat.

that is about us.

and how God views us (loved and forgiven)

there is another side to our relationship

and its about how you view God.

Like an insecure girlfriend we want to be told how much we are loved

and if we hurt or do some wrong in the relationship

we just want to know everything is still fine between us

and we do nothing else for the relationship.

Thats is a messed up relationship

God is greater than then that He deserves much more

the problem is that it is all still centered around you....

and what God thinks of you.

but what do you think of God?

Lets talk about how you value God.

The Value of God

One of the best verses about this is by David in Psalm 8

Psalm 8 NKJV

To the Chief Musician. On the Instrument of Gath. A Psalm of David. 1 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! 2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. 3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, 7 All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, 8 The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas. 9 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Creator, Savior, Mediator, Intercessor.

From father to friend

I can talk till I am blue in the face about the greatness of God

and how worthy He is of all my praise

but if you do not come to a point to where you realize His greatness

and you start treating him like He is great

you will continue to be going in circles around yourself....

never moving forward in your relationship with God.

until you start treating God the way He deserves...

youll be stuck circling yourself.

yes, you may praise God in worship songs during service

but do you praise Him in life…

Do you count God worthy of praise in your life?

Now Moses sang and gave God praise

Deuteronomy 32:3 NKJV

3 For I proclaim the name of the Lord: Ascribe greatness to our God.

but He did that in front of people who needed to hear that

Most of us are praising God in an environment we set up

with those who also want to praise.

Praise means to honor,

honestly the best definition is to give hype

Praise is hype towards God.

now you can give praise or hype to influencers, movies, music, memes, our own life

But is God worthy of your hype?

has He done enough for you?

Let me be a little more direct

Why is He not worthy enough to post?

Why is your friends not hearing about church?

Why is the gospel not worth preaching?

Why is not His answered prayers not worth talking about?

Why when God proves His love and forgiveness to you... its not mentioned?

Is a meme, your life, or the people you follow.... more worthy?

of what you broadcast?

I have talked to some people about this and the answer is almost always

“i just dont want to be that guy”

Romans 1:16 NKJV

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

we accept forgiveness and all the goodness of God and we dont tell others?

how selfish

how dare we withhold love and truth from the world and those around us.

especially in times like this when the world needs hope

but mainly how dare we be so cold to a loving God.

Lust says - What can I get from you

Love says - what can I give you

Many of us have a lusting relationship with God

and need to get a loving relationship with God.

Where we seek to give God praise and love instead of

trying to get it for ourselves.

Why is Jesus your Savior your God been deduced to

I privately logon to a church service and rarely talk about God throughout whole week.

What I want for you is to truly ask yourself
