Hebrews gives us great insight and examples of what faith looks like in real world scenario
Much of what the author is explaining tells us he was someone who understood the dilema of converting religious people from the law to people who can trust in the finished work of Christ
The previous chapters show us the main theme of Hebrews was exactly that.
Having spent so much time proving that Jesus was superior to Angels, Moses, Aaron, this author systematically explained that these men were simply part of the ultimate promise foretold in preparation to Jesus
The author also goes into great detail as to why the Law could not suffice as a permanent redemptive solution to man’s problem
The summary of chapters 1-10 should lead us to two very clear conclusions.
God’s purpose in preserving Isreal is not about man or Israel at all. Rather it is about God’s sovereign will and His desire to be glorified by His creation.
That no matter what man accomplishes in himself, the only option in relationship to God is by trusting in God
