Bible before bedtime Acts 26

Paul’s appearing before Agrippa makes his trial seem very much like Jesus’

Both appeared before a roman governor as well as a Jewish King. Both were found innocent

Jesus appeared before piliot and Herod the great

Paul appears before Festus and King Agrippa which is Herods grandson.

Also Paul appearing before King Agrippa fulfills two of Jesus prophecies.

One is found in Luke 21: 12-15

12 “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13 And so you will bear testimony to me.o 14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.p 15 For I will give youq words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.1

The other is found in Acts 9: 15

15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrumentv to proclaim my name to the Gentilesw and their kingsx and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”y 1
