Jews rejected the kingdom of God they hijacked the kingdom of God Ch. 2:16 why is he eating with tax-collectors and sinners v. 18 why do John's disciples fast? v. 24 why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath? these were violations of their law not God’s law. making law that God didn't;t make (kingdom made up of king and subjects) Hos kingdom His Laws. CH. 3:2 legal action = accuse MK. 7:1,3 the tradition of the elders (trying to bind it on Jesus and His disciples) When you make law you become the king, they are putting the crown on their own heads
Jesus is taking God’s kingdom back Mk. 7:6-7 quoting Isaiah MK. 7:13 invalidating you can't bind law only the king can MK. 12: parable of the vineyard v. 7 kill the kings son and they will take the fathers kingdom for himself they wanted the kingsom for themselves
‘Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;
