Theme: God’s Word will always prevail. Peter has become a key figure in leading the early church to understand that the Gospel is for everyone. He endures significant persecution but he perseveres in his faith. Although God is all powerful, he doesn’t always prevent harm to his servants, but we also know from this passage that he can easily deliver his servants from humanly hopeless situations. The Lord has a plan to spread his Word and it can never be stopped.
