Transformed or Just Reformed:

Diagnosis: So many people think that going to school or learning all they can about Christ, or Being Scholars of the Bible or even knowing truth impresses God. However, what you know can’t show anyone your heart. However, how you respond and your actions or even you agenda can give insight to the question are you truly transformed.
Objective: To question the direction in which you theology compass is pointing.
Meat: Know matter how you slice it we are theologians. We all have some kind of knowledge of God. Some of us love God to the moon and back and others hate God, some don’t believe he is real, some believe in a God but not the one true God, and some are on the fence and they just go with the flow of life. However, there are the ones that know all about God and all of he’s truths. They went to school and they studied some have master degrees and doctrines as well. Some are famous and led huge congregations. However, what does a true champion of Faith look like is he or she just merely reformed or is that person transformed? What is reformed: Well in a nutshell it is an individual who believes that Christ is eternally one person with a divine and a human nature. And that God took on flesh so that human beings can have the chance at salvation. A reformed man or woman of christ holds on to 5 very important things Scripture alone, Christ alone, Grace alone, Faith alone, and Glory to God Alone. Sola Scriptura – “Scripture Alone” – The Bible alone is our highest authority.Sola Fide – “Faith Alone” – We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ.Sola Gratia – “Grace Alone” – We are saved by the grace of God alone.Solus Christus – “Christ Alone” – Jesus Christ alone is our Lord, Savior, and King.Soli Deo Gloria – “To The Glory Of God Alone” – We live for the glory of God alone.
Now any sound bible meat eating Christian shouldn’t have a problem with this, but some do. However, we are not here to talk about the one’s who refute this, but rather the one’s who have built a homemade sniper rifle and my any means necessary they are willing to blow off someones head. Now I am not saying don’t defend the faith, the bible commands us to Jude 1:3. However, I want us to ask what is my real agenda when it comes to following Christ.

Paul and Solomon

I want us to look at 2 very great characters in the bible: Solomon and Paul. Both men are responsible for two of the greatest books ever written in Scripture. Paul wrote the great Romans and Solomon wrote Proverbs. However, there lives where very different
Solomon: Was King
Paul : Was a Pharisees
Solomon: Is the son of David, and from David comes the Earthly Kingship of Christ
Paul: Persecuted Christians
Both men were Smart, Paul couldn’t hold a candle to Solomon the bible tells us that.
Both men Beginnings and endings would blow your mind

1 Kings 3 New International Version (NIV)

Solomon Asks for Wisdom

Solomon made an alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt and married his daughter. He brought her to the City of David until he finished building his palace and the temple of the Lord, and the wall around Jerusalem. The people, however, were still sacrificing at the high places, because a temple had not yet been built for the Name of the Lord. Solomon showed his love for the Lord by walking according to the instructionsgiven him by his father David, except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.
The king went to Gibeon to offer sacrifices, for that was the most important high place, and Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”
Solomon answered, “You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.
“Now, Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguishbetween right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”
10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. 14 And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.” 15 Then Solomon awoke—and he realized it had been a dream.
He returned to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then he gave a feast for all his court.

Philippians 3 New International Version (NIV)

No Confidence in the Flesh

Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh— though I myself have reasons for such confidence.
If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christand be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
