Johnathan Edwards said that “genuine repentance in a ongoing lifestyle, the word repentance means a change of mind but in scripture also means a change in heart and mind, the result should be a complete change in ones life direction in a new life direction, He said that true repentance involves turning away from ones sin with a Godly sorrow confessing it a sin and turning towards God in a pursuit of Holiness. “

1 Corinthians 9:24–27 NKJV

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Run To Win Run Like no one is watching but God Run Also with endurance

Sack-cloth This was a symbol of Repentance as a way of showing mourning over sin

Matthew 5:4 NKJV

Mourning over our sin is a sign of true repentance that Godly sorrow that knowing that you have disappointed your father
