What it is not!!

It is not a place you have to be
It is not a place we support
it is not a social club
it is not a burden
it is not a Sunday tradition

It is God’s Family 1 Timothy 3:15; Ephesians 2:19

Ephesians 2:19 NASB95
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,
1 Timothy 3:15 NASB95
but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
Adam and Eve Genesis 1:26-28
Genesis 1:26–28 NASB95
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Abraham Genesis 12:1-3
Genesis 12:1–3 NASB95
Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Israel Exodus 4:22
Exodus 4:22 NASB95
“Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Israel is My son, My firstborn.
The Church Romans 9:23-24
Romans 9:23–24 NASB95
And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.

It is the Body of Christ

Individually 1 Corinthians 6:15
1 Corinthians 6:15 NASB95
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!
We all have a role 1 Corinthians 12:12
1 Corinthians 12:12 NASB95
For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
We fill up the fulness of Christ Ephesians 1:22-23
Ephesians 1:22–23 NASB95
And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Collectively 1 Corinthians 6:19
1 Corinthians 6:19 NASB95
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
Christ is head of all Ephesians 1:3-4
Ephesians 1:3–4 NASB95
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

It is the Everlasting Kingdom

Promised 2 Samuel 7:12-13
2 Samuel 7:12–13 NASB95
“When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. “He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
Prophesied Daniel 2:44
Daniel 2:44 NASB95
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.
Planned Ephesians 1:3-4
Ephesians 1:3–4 NASB95
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
Partakers, we are Colossians 1:13-14
Colossians 1:13–14 NASB95
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
