But if it doesn’t please you to worship the Lord, choose for yourselves today: Which will you worship—the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living? As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord.”

Understanding God’s Permissive Will

Deuteronomy 30:19
Deuteronomy 30:19 CSB
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live,
One short phrase in God’s response to Satan’s first attack on Job takes us deeper into His character. He says, “You incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause” (2:3). Even though God refuses to be the agent whose hand touches Job, He takes full and personal responsibility for the tragedies that befell him. Of course, this opens up the imponderable question, Does God’s permission equal responsibility? Fathers will understand the problem. When my sixteen-year-old son had just earned his driver’s license, limits were drawn around the obvious hazards, such as Saturday night driving on a certain road that had the highest alcohol-related accident rate in the state. Sooner or later, the limits were lifted, even though the danger remained. If he had been the innocent victim of an accident on that road, how would I have responded? Like God, would I not speak with pain, “I am responsible and all for naught”? All of the parts of this argument may not hold together theologically, but, as a father, I find it makes sense of God’s response. While His permissive will balances intention against His personal responsibility, there is no paradox in the nature of His love.
Psalm 25:5
Psalm 25:5 CSB
Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait for you all day long.
Understanding that in Acts Luke is describing a hope of worldly salvation: salvation from the tragedy of a shipwreck
God does not make any promise to keep our lives from being tossed by the waves of the world and life, He doesn’t promise that there won’t be times of tragedy and pain and difficulty
Because of Sin we will struggle, Because of Satan we will Struggle, But we must understand that we make choices, and every dicision, action, thought we have is gudied and directed by either God’s Word or the World, Understand God’s Perfect Will is for all To Know His Love and to Be saved from this World - God wants us to place our Hope in His Word and abide by His will not in the World and the Will of Man - So we must stand and if we Stand God promises that HE will WIN that His Will for us is Good
