Wealthy

Wise

What does it mean to be wise?

Wisdom is the ability to judge correctly and to follow the best course of action, based on knowledge and understanding.

How do we get wisdom?

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Proverbs 9:10 NASB95
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

19 This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;
Proverbs 29:15 NASB95
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, But a child who gets his own way brings shame to his mother.

To sum it all up

Proverbs 21:30 NASB95
30 There is no wisdom and no understanding And no counsel against the Lord.
Proverbs 3:5–10 NASB95
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. 9 Honor the Lord from your wealth And from the first of all your produce; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty And your vats will overflow with new wine.
