King James Version Chapter 13
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
The word agape as used here from the ancient greek is a translated three quarters of trhe time as love and a quarter as chairty. Yet for all this we never stop to consider the charitable element of love the the word agape also exudes. Charity at its very nature is giving. Should we then not be suprised that Christ who himself exemplified love shows such charity as to give himself entirely for those whom he loved.
