When God hears us, He Responds

Notes
Transcript

Hello are you There?

Practical Story about my thing with Read Receipts (Me and Elon in the Beginning)
Talk about modern day communication, and the different types.
Talk( person 2 person/phone), text, email.
How does this line up with the text of this message?
What do you do when God sends you to do a job? Do you let the message sit there in your mind, or do you ask Him how to get it done? Or do you not do nothing at all and just ignore it?
When God calls us do we respond? When we do respond, how do we respond?
God sends Gideon to overtake the place of contention (vs. 14)
We have to stop “butting in”....
God responds to every “But” that we put in the way of what He needs for us to do.
How many times has God met us face to face and we did not respond with the response He is looking for? (vs.23)
God will cause the place of contention to have you build up an altar of peace. Right now God is establishing people in this city to build an altar of peace in the midst of Contention.
When was the last time that God showed up in that place that you have fought in to become a place of peace?
What altars of doubt have you allow to get in the way of the communication of you and your God? What is hindering your ability to respond?
I don’t care if you are afraid to do, just get it done. Everybody is not a fighter, but the Lord will still teach you how to overcome until you are confident enough to fight during the day. (vs. 27)
There will come times when you have to look at contention in the face just to be able know what real peace looks like. God is never concerned with your need for clarity if you really need it. God will always accommodate so that He gets the response He needs from us.
5. Things We Can Not Forget from this message:
If God called us it was not a “butt dial” (it was not a mistake), He knew what you were capable of because He had His help on you and in you the entire time.
Don’t allow yourself to find a way to disqualify yourself from something God has already validated you to do. (His message is ALWAYS clear)
God is going to give you help where it is needed, but He is not going to do it for you. (Another point to clear up for us)
You can try your hand with God (Gideon did with the fleece), and it is sure that He will respond.
What you do with His response means everything to your detriment and those connected to you, and your ability to follow through with what God has spoken.
What happens when parents don’t respond to their children?
Closing Thought
What Happens if Gideon never responds to God regarding Midianites?
You got it? Respond with.
