Introduction

For centuries men and women have sought a closer, more intimate relationship with God.Some have attempted to find such in a monastic life. Retreating from the world and hiding out in compounds, huts or monasteries in order to seek a closer walk with God.
We sing songs about this desire. “Just a closer walk with thee, grant it Jesus is my please. Daily walking close to Thee…Let it be dear Lord, let it be!”
But a closer walk with God is simply a matter of faith…it is believing what God has said about our current relationship with Him and position in Him. If we can come to a place where we actually believe what the Bible says is true of us…we will have a closer walk with Christ.
Intimacy with God is just a matter of belief and trust in Him. Certain things have already been accomplished on our behalf…we just do not have the faith to realize and enjoy them in our life. But perhaps the most tragic of these missed opportunities is to miss the closer walk with Jesus available to all of us right now today.

Raised with Christ

We Died and Our Life is Hidden in Christ — These words are perhaps the most important words for the Christian seeking a closer walk with Christ. If we can wrap our mind around these first 4 verses of chapter 3 then we will forever be changed…forever have an intimate and close walk with God.
