The Promise in What We Need For Trials

Requires Prayer - Wisdom - Faith
James 1:5 KJV 1900
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

PROMISE

Matthew 7:7 KJV 1900
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
We are encourage to pray for wisdom
Proverbs 4:7 KJV 1900
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: And with all thy getting get understanding.
Wisdom comes from God. His wisdom is not like man’s wisdom. Wisdom is insight into the will of God. Wisdom says that their is a purpose for the trial I’m in and wisdom will then give us an understanding on what to do, when to do and how to overcome it. Wisdom says when you don’t have enough wisdom , learn how to pray for more.
We are encouraged to pray to pray with faith.
When we pray or ask, we must believe and not doubt
James 1:6–8 KJV 1900
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
When we lack prayer, wisdom and faith, we live a life that is unstable and uncertainty. Folk will be afraid to approach you or seek advice from you.
1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV 1900
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The Promise in Our Approach to Trials

James 1:9 KJV 1900
Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
If the world has you at the bottom of the social or economic totem pole, rejoice because the Lord can really use you. The world has already counted you out so can not be concern about chasing a dollar but chase after Him.
Matthew 6:31–33 KJV 1900
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
James 1:10–11 KJV 1900
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
When you think you got something, remind yourself that it was nobody but the Lord that provided for you.
It’s not a sin to have things but don’t let the things have you.
Matthew 5:3 KJV 1900
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

PROMISE

The Promise in Enduring Trials

James 1:12 KJV 1900
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
The blessing is not always in avoiding trouble but a promise is given when we are able to endure being tried.
God needs to get the glory out of your life.
Joseph - pit - potiphar’s house - prison - palace
Daniel - lion’s den
3 Hebrew boys - fiery furnace
1 John 4:4 KJV 1900
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Zenith = the quality goes in before the names goes on.
John 16:33 KJV 1900
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
The promise is - when not if but when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him

So I don’t have to worry, I don’t have to fret - because Jesus promised - and He’s never fail me yet

I’ve learned how to live holy

how to live right
how to suffer
When I see Jesus - Amen

Standing on the promises, that cannot fail

when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail
by the living Word of God I shall prevail
Standing on the promises of God
