The Old Testament Text -Ezekiel -”The Word I speak will be fulfilled”
Immediately-
In the Gospel of Mark, the writer uses the word immediately 41 times.
In other words, he wants us to know -Jesus operates in the Now…immediately.
I like that…lets for just a few minutes go back to the text of
Mark 5:-25-43
The story opens with Jesus landing near the region of the Gerasene
as soon as he got out of the boat a man possessed by an evil spirit
came out of the tombs. When he saw Jesus from far away he ran and knelt
before him shouting…what have you to do with me Jesus -Son of the most high God, swear to God that you won’t torture me.
The man demon possessed said these things because Jesus had already commanded him “unclean” spirit come out of him. Jesus asked his name and he said, Legion is my name, because we are many. they pleaded with Jesus not to send them out of that region…There was a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside. Send us into the pigs they begged. Let us go into the pigs?
Jesus gave them permission and they left the man and ran into the herd of pigs nearby. The herdsmen were petrified. they pleaded with Jesus to leave their region
