I Peter 1: 5 – 9
Peter acknowledges that our salvation, to be
revealed in the last time, brings about great
rejoicing. It is something we should always
rejoice in, that we should be exceedingly glad
about: our sins are forgiven!
The facts about salvation, generally:
A. It is reserved in Heaven. I Peter 1:4
B. We are _________ by the Holy Spirit.
Eph. 1:13
C. It is secure. John 10:28
D. It is through Jesus Christ, only. I Tim.
2:5
E. It took _____ perfect sacrifice. Heb.
10:14
F. It took _______ one perfect sacrifice.
Heb. 10:12
The facts about your salvation:
1. Know the facts. Your salvation is certain
and secure.
2. ______________ the facts. Take time once
in a while to go back to the time and
place of your salvation.
3. _______ the facts. Tell someone about it.
4. Learn the facts. Your salvation is secure,
right now. But, it is not complete, and
won’t be until we are in heaven.
If we take these steps, we will rejoice more
than we do.
Peter knows that we will go through times of
trials and testings, so that our faith, which is
much more valuable that gold and silver, will
be refined and made better. We can rest
assured that He will never put us in a
position to fail. He will always give us a
challenge He knows we can accomplish.
Peter then compliments those believers
scattered about, on their faith in Christ,
whom they have never ________. They
rejoiced with joy that was indescribable and
full of glory. And the reason for that joy and
glory? The salvation of their ________.
Am I rejoicing today?
