Paul knew that the best people could slip up:
Paul knew that the best people could slip up:
not deliberate sin; but a slip that correlates to someone slipping on an icy road or dangerous path (Gal.6.1)
Sometimes, those striving to live like Christ are apt to judge the sins of others harshly
This is where Paul is seeking meekness from brothers in Christ
If People do slip, it is the responsibility of Christians to get them back on their feet (Gal.6.2)
Emphasis placed on restoring (make complete; adjust; to make perfect)
When we do this , we fulfill the law of Christ
Paul goes on to express the importance of humbling oneself in judging others while taking a reflection of who we are:
If we think were are somebody, we deceive ourselves (vs. 3-4)
The Letters to the Galatians and Ephesians Burden-Bearing (Galatians 6:1–5)
There but for the grace of God go I.’
This reminds us there is no need to boast when humbling ourselves to our own folly
We will reap what we sow
Things to remember:
Christianity never takes the threat out of life
God can and will forgive us all for our sins
Our focus and goal should be placed on restoration
