Introduction & Invocation
Pastor: It is my honor and privilege to welcome you this afternoon to this ceremony uniting Titus Yogerst and Fanny Schrock. On behalf of Titus and Fanny and their families I want to thank you all for being a part of this special day. This is a day of great celebration and reverence, on which we come together before God to recognize and commemorate the sacred love and dedication shared between these two people. God has established marriage and therefore we come today, before Him to recognize what He has instituted. Remembering that marriage is regulated by His Word. We all come together this afternoon to witness what God in heaven recognizes. That today Titus and Fanny will leave their parents and cleave to one another creating one new flesh (Gen 2:24).
If you keep the Lord you God as the focal point of your home you will be building a home of love, joy and one that brings glory to the Father. You are about to make the most holy and deepest commitment of your lives. No other human relationship compares to the one you enter into today.
Will you bow with me in prayer as we begin
Question to the Father
Pastor: Who gives this woman to be married to this man?
Bridal Companion: Her mother and I do.
Shifting of authority from the father to Titus
Father you may present the bride to her groom
Pledge
Pastor: Titus and Fannie please face one another and join hands.
Under the eyes of God, Titus, do you take Fannie to be your lawfully wedded Wife? By making this commitment, you are joining in the sacred covenant of marriage.
Do you promise to honor her in love, to be sensitive to her needs, to comfort her in difficulty, and to put your full and complete trust in her, so long as you both shall live?
Titus: I do.
Pastor: Under the eyes of God, Fannie, do you take Titus to be your lawfully wedded Husband? By making this commitment, you are joining in the covenant of marriage.
Do you promise to honor him in love, to be sensitive to his needs, to comfort him in difficulty, and to put your full and complete trust in him, so long as you both shall live?
Fannie: I do.
Exchange of Vows
Pastor: Titus and Fannie, the sacred vows that you make to one another today present you with the opportunity to express your love in your own words. I would at this time invite you to publicly declare these vows:
Titus, repeat after me.
Pastor & Titus: I, Titus, take you, Fannie, to be my wedded Wife, and I do promise and covenant, before God and these witnesses, to be your loving and faithful husband, from this day forward, for better or worse, in joy or sorrow, for richer or poorer. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life, until death do us part. This is my solemn vow.
Pastor: Fannie, repeat after me.

Devotional
Titus and Fannie.
Titus....my first memories are of you as this little kid headed downstairs to children’s church
And then this bigger kid in Patch the Pirate
Then you came into our youth group and we were given the privilege of spending a lot of time with you and getting to know you.
From being that little kid headed to Junior Church and watching you grow into the young man who lead songs and preached during the Teen Services was such an honor.
But now to have Titus here as the man he is and having the honor of being a part of his wedding is such an honor.
Fannie you have found a godly man.
Titus, if you have chose Fannie she must be a very special woman…now after today you will have the rest of your life to display to the world how special she is to you.
I think the one passage we dealt the most with was Ephesians 5:21-29
Everything in that passage finds it’s foundation in Jesus Christ.
In His death burial and resurrection. Knowing Titus and after talking with Fannie it is clear you both have placed your faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.
This is essential because in our natural state we cannot fulfill what the Apostle Paul commands here.
Aside from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we are not able to truly love
We are not able to truly submit to one another
We are not able to truly commit to one another
We are not able to sacrifice for one another
It is only because you both came to the realization of your sin and that you needed Jesus to cleanse you of that sin.
Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God
But Christ came and made a way for our sins to be forgiven. Romans 5:8 tells us that “God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, lChrist died for us.”
What we couldn’t do on our own Christ made a way
In marriage, we all fall short when we try to do things our way
But Christ made a way.
As we look to Him and follow the truths of His Word in our lives we can fulfill these commands.
Fannie, you are to respect the responsibility that God has entrusted to Titus as the leader of your home.
Fannie, you can respect the responsibility God has given to Titus as the leader of your home
Titus, you can love and adore her. You can sacrifice for her.
You are to dwell with her according to knowledge.
You cannot do this on your own no more than you could make a way for your sins to be forgiven.
Jesus Christ gave His life for you sins…He also gave His life to enable you to establish a home that is a picture of the gospel.
A home of love
of joy
Of peace
Of faithfulness
Of sacrifice
As you begin your new life together remember your need of Jesus
Keep looking to Him
As you individually look to Him and are drawn closer to Him you will be drawn closer as a couple.
Exchange of Rings
Pastor: Titus, what symbol do you give as a token of your love?
Titus: I give this ring
Pastor: The ring is a perfect circle, representing God’s eternal love toward us and a reminder of the love we strive to love one another with..
Titus, place the ring on Fannies finger and repeat after me.
With this ring, I thee wed.
Titus: With this ring, I thee wed.
Fannie, what symbol do you give as a token of your love?
Fannie: I give this ring.
Pastor: This ring is pure gold. It represents the pure love of God toward us and a reminder of the love we strive to love one another with.
Fannie, place the ring on Titus’ finger and repeat after me.
With this ring, I thee wed.
Fannie: With this ring, I thee wed.
