God Wants You Healed

Isaiah 53: 1- 5

​ Who has believed our report?

And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,

And as a root out of dry ground.

He has no form or comeliness;

And when we see Him,

There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

He is despised and rejected by men,

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;

He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

Healing belongs To You

· Human beings were not created to die

· Human beings were not created to be sick

· Human beings were created in the image of God.

Gen.1:26-28

We are made in the image and likeness of God.

There is no sickness in God. If there is no sickness in God, then sickness doesn’t belong to us either.

Because we are made in His image.

Adam and Eve walked and communicated with God in the garden. Life without sickness and disease. They walked in constant fellowship with God.

The fall: enter sin

· Genesis chapter 3 records the fall of man

· Eve is deceived by the serpent

· She gives the fruit to her husband and he eats it.

· Fellowship is broken with God.

· Sin and death enter the world

Verses 17-19 reveals the curse of separation from God.

· The ground is cursed

· Toil or sorrow is introduced

· Thorns and thistles

· Aging

Sickness and diseases are a result of the fall. And this was carried upon all mankind. Romans 5:12

God wants us to take back what belongs to us. Good Health

That’s comes through Jesus Christ.

The Curse:

The curse of the law is introduced in Genesis 3 and the details of the curse is written in detail in deut. 28: 15-25

The curse of the law is a result of disobedience to the law of God. it’s a result of separation from God.

All kinds of sickness and disease are found in the curse.

God doesn’t leave out a remedy. God never wanted mankind to live such conditions. He’s always been the healer. He’s always had a plan. God is very concerned about our health.

His Name Is Healer

Exodus 15:26

There are over 10 words between the Hebrew and Greek that’s translated healing or a synonym for healing.

Yeshua = Jesus means salvation, deliverer, healing, and save.

Jesus is our healer:

Isaiah 53: 3-4

He is despised and rejected by men,

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;

He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

· Sorrows= pains; physical as well as mental. Pressures of life that we go through.

· Grief and griefs= sicknesses and diseases.

Jesus carried them for us. Our sicknesses and disease He carried to the cross.

He carried them so we don’t have to.

Peter put it this way:

1 Peter 2:24

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Notice the word sins:

Sins= Sorrows, Griefs, Transgressions, Iniquities

Jesus carried it all for us.

Salvation in Jesus is twofold:

Redemption of your spirit

Redemption of your body

Healing belongs to you.

Jesus wants to heal you. He turns no one away who comes to Him in faith.

Matt.4:23-24

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Matt. 9:35

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Matt. 14:14

And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

Receive Your Healing

You can be healed of any sickness and disease. It’s not God’s will for you to be sick. Sickness is part of the curse of the law.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law…Gal. 3:13

We are no longer under that curse.

We are free from sickness and disease. But we must receive that freedom.

Jesus restored our fellowship with God.

Receiving our healing

· Teaching proceeded healing

Matt. 9:35

Luke 9:11

But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God and healed those who had need of healing.

Malachi 4: 2

But to you who fear My name

The Sun of Righteousness shall arise

With healing in His wings;

And you shall go out

And grow fat like stall-fed calves.

They heard the word of the kingdom of God and the Messiah.

They believed in Jesus and who He is.

Faith comes by hearing…Rom. 10:17

· Command the sickness to go in the name of Jesus

Mark 11:22

We use the authority of Jesus’s name that has been given to us.

We speak to the sickness or disease and command it to go.

Jesus gave us the authority to use His name…Matt. 28:18
