Longsuffering is that quality of self-restraint in the face of provocation that does not hastily or promptly punish. (Meadows).
Longsuffering is a Divine characteristic!
Romans 2:4 NKJV
4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
Patience is the quality that does not surrender to circumstances or succumb under trial; it is the opposite of despondency and therein associated with hope.
1 Thessalonians 1:3 NKJV
3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

The Longsuffering of God

Exodus 34:6 NKJV
6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,
Psalm 86:15 NKJV
15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
Psalm 145:8 NKJV
8 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.
Nahum 1:3 NKJV

The Abuse of God’s Longsuffering

2 Peter 3:15 NKJV

The Advantage of God’s Longsuffering

You have the opportunity to be saved now, because of God’s longsuffering.
Don’t let the opportunity pass!
No one knows how long that longsuffering will be.
