In taking the high road believers are called to take the road that points to God and leads to glory. We must always remember that although we are in this world we are not of this world. Sometimes our journey upward will take us through some low places. In spite of whatever you go through always remember that your response matters to the Lord. It does not mean that you don’t respond, it just means that your response has to be high and holier than your persecution. At the end of the day Christians are part of a larger plot and it’s Chess not checkers. So don’t get too consumed trying to win at checkers because we have something bigger to play for.
